Tell us about you!
I am Anita ~ most people would describe me as being outgoing, friendly with a big smile, I am playful in my approach to my life and sometimes in my work depending on the clients needs.
I feel that I have a talent for bringing out the best in people, I love the outdoor life when I am not working I spend a lot of time walking and gardening growing veg and flowers
I have a long history of support work; elderly support, housing support, bereavement support and children’s and family support.
I have helped elderly clients who need support around the home with keeping the house tidy and company due to isolation, I encourage clients with any task that they are finding difficult to help find confidence and resilience.
I’ve also supported clients with daily tasks from getting up with hoisting equipment, some personal care and preparing food and feeding at times and support with any other tasks that may need doing, keeping house clean and tidy and motivating clients to support themselves when needed.
I have acted as an independent advocate during my volunteering work with Cruse counselling services and support services for young people.
I would like to use my time and my skills to help people to have a good or better quality of life, by using my counselling and coaching skills, I have a counselling qualification in bereavements, coaching training with the coaching academy is still on going.
I would like to be of service to people who need some support to live a fun and happy life (whatever it might mean to the client).
