Tell us about you!

My interests and hobbies include hiking, festivals and skiing whenever I can. I have participated in the Duke of Edinburgh award, also done a lot of sailing, kayaking and assisting with the sea scouts. I am a very adventurous person and just genuinely love interacting with people and the outdoors.

I have worked within the care sector for over a year and have gained a lot of experience working with people living with dementia.

I worked in different sectors within a home from EMI to challenging behaviour units. I also worked for a company in Liverpool where I went round homes within my local area providing basic care and company to those who needed it.

Availability: My availability is very flexible at the moment but when the pandemic is over I will not be available in the evenings due to my second job as a supervisor at a restaurant.

Tell us about you!

I am a mental health nurse and have been qualified since 2006. I have experience of both young people and older people who have various forms of dementia. I nursed my mum for several years with early onset dementia also.

I like to read learn new things. I enjoy antiques and restoring old items. I love animals and spending time with my grandson. I also enjoy gardening and history.

I have done several life story books with people with dementia encouraging self worth and rejoicing coming to end of life through past life and experiences.

I always encourage ones’ value and recognition of what a person has achieved throughout their lives.

I nursed mum for over 4 years before she passed over. I have also worked in various nursing homes with elderly people who have different types of dementia and often depression through isolation and lack of time given by busy staff.

I like to give time and attention to people I care for.

I am flexible although I only wish to work 5 days if possible but will help were I can.

Tell us about you! I enjoy gardening, reading, cycling and a lot of dog walking! I have two sons aged 23 and 25 and I’m lucky that they still like to spend time with me. I enjoy days out with them and their girlfriends and cooking meals/ barbecues for them at weekends. I consider myself a very friendly and sociable person and I relish time spent with friends and extended family.

I’m 52 years old and have spent all my working life in office jobs. In particular, I was Risk and Insurance Manager at Lancaster Town Hall.

However, I’m really hoping for a complete lifestyle change as I go ‘semi-retired’. I’d love a more rewarding job; helping and supporting others.

I’m a very caring and compassionate person and I enjoy looking after people. Being a mum of two sons has been great and that has certainly given me plenty of experience in providing care with plenty of patience!

Also, my parents are both in their eighties and they have needed a lot of support recently- particularly with household tasks such as shopping.

I have a full, clean driving license and own a car (a people carrier).

Availability: I’m currently available anytime

Lynne is compassionate and pro-active and has had personal experience supporting parents.
