Tell us about you!

I'm great at making people smile, I enjoy doing arts and crafts, talking, listening to old songs written by Max Bygraves, or Everley Brothers. I enjoy learning and listening to stories. I love baking, nothing special, just cakes and things! I’ve also learned therapeutic massage at a previous job! To be fair I like a lot.of things!

I am a friendly and approachable person. I always conduct myself in a polite and professional manor. I work well as part of a team, as well as with my own initiative. I have good communication and listening skills and I get along well with people from all ages and backgrounds. I have strong problem solving skills and I enjoy taking on new challenges.

I’m family orientated and have professional experience in care. My nan was also living with dementia so I know how difficult it can get, so it does hit home with me.

I have around a year and 9 months experience in care and support. I cared for a lady living with Meningitis. I supported her with her mobility and helping out with day to day tasks and with meals. I also took her out and spent time with her.

I also cared for a boy with cerebral palsy . My role was to help him and educate him as well as help out with his daily routine. During this period I learned a lot about caring for someone living with special needs. I also have experience supporting a boy living with severe cerebral palsy.

Happy to help out with cleaning if needed.

Availability: Monday to Friday around 25 hours a week, whatever hours I get I will be happy. Available to do more hours if needed.

Tell us about you!

I love to bake, I've spent almost every day during lockdown baking cakes, breads, scones etc to share with friends, family and neighbours. I love having family movie nights at the weekend. I am married with 3 children, 1 who has now left home and 2 teenagers.

I was carer to my eldest daughter who has a medical disability. My friends son also has severe disabilities and I often look after him. I do not have experience with older people other than my own mother, however other than company she requires no extra care. I do think my mum helps me empathise with that generation.

Availability: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 2:30pm
