Tell us about you!

I enjoy spending a lot of time with family and friends. I spend a lot of my time with my grandparents and helping them out. I enjoy watching movies and going out for food. I love going on long walks and exploring places. I’m a big marvel geek too.

I have personal experience of care caring full time for a family member for a year. I gave blood thinning injections, cleaned the house from top to bottom, I would cook lunch and dinner, I would aid her to the toilet and shower, and would help her wash too. I would do her shopping and spend time with her, making conversation and trying my hardest to keep a smile on her face.

Tell us about you!

I’m a people person, I like talking to people and helping them out where I can. I often put people before myself but I always go the extra mile to make someone’s day if I can. My hobbies include cake baking, I have run my own successful cake business for 7 years, it’s recently taken a back seat since Covid.

When I’m not working, I spend my free time with my family. I have one son who’s 16, and three step children. My other hobbies would include household DIY, crafting and photography.

I became a carer after my grandma fell terminally ill several years ago and I noticed the compassion that her caregivers had. I wanted to be able to have the opportunity to give back to the community and do that for someone else’s grandparent/parent.

I have a caring and compassionate attitude towards life and it reflects in my work, I try to go above and beyond to ensure that even the littlest of things can make someone’s day a little easier. Nothing beats a smile when you just don’t feel like smiling.

I thrive of making a difference and I am a strong believer in helping the client maintain their independence, showing them respect and giving them my trust. I know it’s hard to introduce new people into a routine but I feel it’s important to a build rapport and get to know the little things your client likes.

I have also had experience with personal care, administering medication, filling out charts and daily notes, arranging for district nurses to attend clients, the application of topical creams, the use of PPE, manual handling, general housework, meal prepping, companionship, shopping, pharmacy and running, errands.

Availability: Monday-Friday 7am-7pm cannot work weekends but would be available in advance if stuck. Minimum hours 30.

Now my children have grown up I'm looking at going back to work in a caring environment. I'm great at organising them all!

I have had personal experience caring for my dad every day for 6 months until he sadly passed away. He was bed bound so I would wash him, feed him, change his pyjamas and his bedding, liase with his doctors and McMillan to help with his pain and generally keep him company.

After this I realised I would like to help others. Also seeing how amazing the NHS and carers have been through lockdown and in these challenging times, I decided to take the plunge and apply.

I would love the chance to make a difference and help make someone's day just that little bit easier.

Availability: I can work any day. I'm happy to start with a few hours to start with maybe 5/10 a week and see how I manage.

I’m a people person, a hard worker and a good listener.
I’m 28, I love to just be... take life one day at a time but also love to be doing something fulfilling. I enjoy my own company and much prefer the elder generation when it comes to socialising. I've always been drawn to help my elders.

I’m very bubbly and out going and I’m honest and up front and have a genuine caring heart. Not great with phones and technology! I don;t watch tv much prefer to put some music on and do something. I like to think I’m creative and I’m good at thinking on the spot and having a giggle…

I looked after my uncle in his last year, he was a very active man and it was the best time ever! I've done community care work, I've worked in a care home that had a secure unit for challenging aggressive behaviour and I've worked in end of life care. I prefer to give that one 2 one care at home.
