I have personal experience in care having helped to care for my mother from an early age. She has physical disabilities and health problems so I feel a have a good understanding of a range of problems that people may encounter.

I have also helped to care for my grandmother who is 90 and generally in good health but sometimes needs help maintaining her independence.

I have also worked in the childcare sector with children from 0-5 and also spent a short time as a special educational needs co-ordinator.

Family and colleagues have told me that I am a good listener and that I am kind and caring.

Outside of work I really enjoy home improvement projects, DIY and upcycling. I also enioy organising fundraising events for Barnardo's where I currently work a few hours a week.

I spend time through the week with my mum who is disabled. When she is able, we go out for a wander around local shops or for lunch with my grandparents. I appreciate how precious time is with them and cherish spending time together.

Availability: I can be flexible within reason and would ideally like between 6 and 12 hours a week.
