I have experience working within complex care and loved my job.
Within complex care my daily duties were: Working with adult and paediatric clients ● Effective communication ● Upholding and maintaining the individual's dignity ● Safeguard adults and children ● Manual handling ● Personal care ● Domestic duties ● Clinical care ● ITU competencies ● Meeting the clients complex care needs ● Working in a person centred way ● Holistic working ● Being respectful ● Basic life support ● Infection prevention ● Administering medication ● Working with challenging behaviour.
I also have personal experience caring for a family member. My mum became ill when I was younger and due to her disability me and my sister looked after her we carried out personal care, meal prepping and cooking, medication administration, daily needs such as doing household work.
Due to the above experience with caring for my mum, that’s the reason I went into care because I knew first hand how my mum was feeling. I wanted to help others and not just for a job but because I would have a little part of making someone else’s quality of life a little better.
My hobbies are watching and playing rugby, also watching martial arts and going to martial arts training classes. I love family days out, I’m very close with my family. I have 2 dogs and a kitten. I am naturally very caring and positive.
