Private Care in Coventry - Paula

Coventry

I care for my daughter, although she is very independent so it is mostly a case of just being there for her and encouraging her with her independence.

I have previously worked as a domestic support through Crossroads Carers. I thoroughly enjoyed working as a learning support assistant for Coventry City Council and Leamington Spa college.

I'm non-confrontational and non-judgemental - like to see the best in everyone. I'm very helpful.

I am an animal lover. I enjoy walking my German Shepherd and caring for and riding my horse. I also love reading and listening to music. I used to enjoy going to gigs but don't get much opportunity to do this now.

I have a daughter who has ASD, I enjoy shopping trips with her and supporting her to find work. We also do a bit of baking. I like helping people and signed up to be on the carer's committee in my current job.

I have roughly 8 years care experience from caring for an elderly neighbour, domiciliary care, live in care and companionship.

I have done my level 1 & 2 health and social care qualification. I have certificates for courses such as first aid, food hygiene, infection control, data confidentiality, mental health etc.

Aside from the experience, I really enjoy supporting people, I feel it’s in my nature to help others.

Your compassion is a gift Charleigh, carry it with you.

I’d like to think that’s just the typical act of humanity.

I enjoy outdoor adventures like water sports, hiking and theme parks however, I also enjoy movies, cinemas and Netflix. I am quite creative and artistic, always looking for practical DIY projects to take part in.

Private Care in Burbage near Hinckley - Jenny

Burbage near Hinckley

I have worked as a personal assistant for a tetraplegic retired magistrate and when I left working for her, joined a care company and completed a 5 day training course staying at their accommodation whereafter I was placed as a live in carer with a lady who was living with dementia.

I was working 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off and am currently working as a live in carer for a lady living with Parkinson’s.

I am so grateful for your wonderful care for Mum through some hard times and some easier moments. If you stay in the care sector as I hope you do, the families you help will be really lucky indeed!
