I enjoy going for walks in nature, gardening, knitting, cooking, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles. I am a people person and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am a married mother of two adult daughters.
I have been working in the care sector since 2015 working for two different local domiciliary care agencies mainly working weekends. Recently I have been privately caring for a lady with dementia, who sadly passed away at the beginning of January 2021. I also have a casual library job at Newark library which I’m not doing at the moment.
I was previously working in administration in the Civil Service since 2001 but decided to move to the care sector after my father become ill from a stroke and I helped look after him.
I have been on training courses run by the 2 companies I have worked for between 2015-2020.
Availability: Weekends and possibly some weekdays. 12 hours minimum.

My name is Courtney, in my spare time I love to do anything artistic, I’m often drawing and painting or even upcycling furniture for my house. Baking and cooking is another hobby of mine, I bake and decorate a lot of cakes for family and friends’ birthdays, I even made a 3 tier wedding cake for my sister-in-law!
I have 2 years’ experience working within care homes, I have worked both days and nights with people living with a range of needs from dementia to Parkinson’s. I have experience assisting with washing, dressing, incontinence needs, promoting sleep etc.
I have also cared for my younger sister who had complex needs with Cerebral Palsy and Cystic Fibrosis. Due to working within care homes I am familiar with palliative care, and have cared for residents during their end of life needs. Working within the care sector and offering physical and emotional support to vulnerable people is something I feel strongly passionate about, and am very keen to progress and increase my knowledge.

I do not drive however I do have access to public transport and my partner is also available for my transport.
