Hanley, Stoke

Clare enjoys cooking, crafting and gardening.

She likes gardening at home and at her allotment Clare also enjoys nature and walking. She does not have professional experience but she has personal experience as she cared for her Mum when she was terminally ill.

A health scare 4 years ago helped her to decide that she wanted to work part time hours in a role where she can make a real difference and go home with that warm feeling of accomplishment.

Availability: Clare would like to work around school runs, so she would not be available before 9am and between 3-5pm but is happy to work some evenings, nights per week and alternate weekends.

The CareChooser difference…

Our carer has been brilliant, very supportive, caring, knowledgeable & flexible. She communicates with me, which is key, we have a good relationship. I wouldn’t be able to cope with the ongoing situation without her help & support. She was definitely a fantastic find.

Tell us about you!

I’m 41 years old and moved to this area just before lockdown. My other half and myself bit the bullet and moved in together. Best move ever!

I love cooking, keeping us all well fed and looked after. I have a 14yr old daughter and a 19yr old step son. I like reading, especially Terry Pratchett. I also restore old furniture. Upcycling so to speak. I have a little dog whom I walk a lot with. I’m outgoing and always have a smile on my face. I’m patient and understanding and have a good sense of humour (so I’m told!)

I have numerous years working in a care environment and absolutely love it. I have training in Dementia Care, Palliative Care, Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support and Level 2 in Health Care.

I’m fully aware of GDPR and Safeguarding. I have a recent DBS. I have had Medication Training and I am happy to offer medication support.

Availability: I’m flexible with all hours and I’m happy to work weekends.

Tell us about you!

Hi there, I am a very family oriented person. I am extremely bubbly and very chatty. I think that social skills are an extremely important part of care giving.

I also possess the ability of being sensitive enough to know when it needs to be quiet or a little calmer due to how somebody is feeling on the day.

I love to walk my little French bull dog with my children. I love to read when I get the chance. I love making nice meals and having family and friends over or going out for food.

I have lots of care experience. I have worked for various care companies, I have a lot of experience in palliative care which requires two carers and can involve hoisting and lifting our clients in and out of bed, toileting them, washing them dressing them and assisting to lead as comfortably life as possible.

I have experience in single calls requiring more of courtesy call or helping to wash, dress, assist with medication or tidying the house up, putting the washing on and generally helping to do tasks that some people are unable to do in later life.

I have completed various first aid and manual handling and medication courses over the years.

Availability: After 9 am in the mornings and any time throughout the day up until 9pm
