I have worked in care for approximately 16 years in varying capacities and settings.
The longest period of my career was spent at a residential home where I supported elderly individuals living with dementia. On reflection I feel this was the role I excelled and gained the most enjoyment.
This environment installed a deep knowledge of care provision and there was an ‘outstanding’ outcome in our the services during an inspection.
I have always and continue to see myself as an advocate for those individuals I have the opportunity to support in their daily living.

Level 2 NVQ in health and social care - Adults
Level 3 NVQ in health and social care - Adults
Care certificate standards (social care Adults)
NCFE Level 2 certificate in the principles of Dementia Care
NCFE level 3 Certificate in the principles of end of life care
NCFE level 2 Certificate in Equality and diversity
Level 2 certificate in behaviours that challenge
I am a perfectionist, I like to commit fully to any task or opportunity I commence. Staff that I have managed in previous roles say that I inspire them to work to high standards and have become a positive role model.
Outside of work I have always been a lover of the outdoors, hiking, swimming surrounding myself with nature. I have a caravan and my family and I spend lots of time by the ocean paddle boarding.
I enjoy socialising with family, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen creating meals and baking.
