Tavistock

Tell us about you! I'm really Into technology and currently studying an Administration diploma from home in my free time. I love animals so often out walking my dog. I socialise with friends and family quite a lot.

I have previously worked for a care agency in Plymouth working with the elderly at care homes and also at peoples’ own homes.

I have a friendly approach and the ability to put clients at ease, whatever their physical or social needs. I have experience working with and supporting people living with Alzheimers and dementia and other conditions. I have also completed online care courses work so I understand well the importance of the role.

Availability: Available any day to work. Prefer morning or afternoon so I can study in the evenings.

2 hours or more £17.97/hr. Plus £1/hr if personal care is needed.

Our online care journal is included for free.

Support from our experienced GP for carers and families also included for free.

To start the care, contact your care advisor on 07792939454.

Tell us about you! My hobbies and interests revolve around my garage, building and riding motorcycles primarily but also metal work. I enjoy welding and fabrication and spend time making garden and household items, from gates to beds and anything else that takes my interest. Currently I am building a 1979 MZ motorcycle, modified to my taste.

I'm a practical person and turn my hand to most things, I have done bits of building work, woodwork, plumbing and electrical work, always willing to learn a new skill.

I recently had the opportunity to travel for a few months, teaching English, working on a farm, living in small communities and absorbing new cultures. I have many interests, the main challenge seems to be finding time for them all!

About 4 years ago I accidentally applied for a carer's job, (pressing the wrong button on my pc,) and decided to investigate it. I ended up loving working with people with learning difficulties and some physical challenges, we enjoyed each other's company and it didn't feel like work.

I had worked in a residential setting and also in the community, supporting people to live as independently as possible; this was my full time role.

I left to go travelling for a few months and on return decided I would like to continue in care but not full time, I like the idea of using some of my other skills and so being self employed gives me that opportunity; some care work, some gardening work, some odd job work and the possibility of anything else.

Whilst working for my previous employer I attended all the training courses provided, many of which I had previously attended for other employers as a tutor for challenging young people.

I like the idea of using more of my skills and working with you can help me achieve that.

Availability: I'm quite flexible but am not available every weekend.
