I have experience working with dementia as I volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Society doing singing for the brain.
I have done Mental Health Awareness training and Care Certificate Training. I have cared for my own family and close relatives with various needs.
A previous Manager said I go beyond my duty of care and a lady Debbie who I was key worker for said she doesn't know what she will do without me. She said she hasn't met anyone so kind caring and understanding as myself
My main interests are singing and socialising and walking my two small dogs. Even though I am retired I like to keep myself occupied I was employed as a Mental Health Support Worker in Carlisle till I retired in November. I am a kind caring easy going person and I'm a good listener and have my own transport so distance isn't a problem.
