Hi, my name is Allison, I’m a 56 year old married woman with three grown up children.
My eldest daughter is 36 years old and has hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy and spastic quadriplegia. I looked after her full time until she was admitted to a brain injury care home.
More recently I nursed my mother through Alzheimer’s until she passed away in June 2020. I moved her into my home and took care of her for eight years.
In between this I worked as a Special Educational Needs teaching assistant.
Although I have never been employed in the care sector I have been a carer for family members since I was nineteen years of age.
I looked at what your company aims to provide for people in need of extra care and I feel, with my very personal experiences, I would very much like to be part of your team, helping others who are in need of support.
Most people tend to say that I’m a very good listener who always goes the extra mile to help people who need support for whatever reason.
I own two dogs, two budgies and a horse. I love the outdoors and going for walks. I have a passion for reading and doing jigsaw puzzles. I also like a good conversation and a cup of tea.
Do you have a driving license and access to a vehicle?: Yes, I have a driving license & access to a car
Vaccine: 2 + Booster
Availability: Ideally I would like to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am to 7pm although I am open to discussion about weekend work. I don’t have to give notice.
