I have been a personal experience caring for family members for over thirty years.
My eldest daughter has hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy and is totally dependent for all her needs.
I cared for her at home until it was in her best interest to go into a nursing home. I grew up looking after my brother and in 2010 my mother came to live with me as she developed Alzheimer’s and I nursed her until she passed away in 2019.
I have learned so much from my family experience of caring and I would like to use this knowledge to make a difference in someone else’s life.
I’m told I am a very good listener, that I am empathetic and that I am a very honest down to earth person who only sees the good in people. I have had friends come back to me to say they made it through a difficult situation because I was there to support them emotionally.
I would really like to use my time helping and caring for those who need it most. To me, it’s very important to enhance a person’s quality of life no matter who they are or what their needs are.
I love animals especially dogs and horses, I enjoy reading and doing jigsaw puzzles and I really enjoy a good conversation. Looking through photos and reminiscing is another favourite pastime of mine. I feel I am at my best when I am caring for someone who needs a little bit of help and support to get them through the day.
Do you have a driving license and access to a vehicle?: Yes, I have a driving license & access to a car

Availability: Preferable days are Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am - 6pm, minimum of 3 hours per week and available to work immediately.
