I lived with my grandparents and disabled uncle for most of my childhood, although I was a child, supporting with personal care, medication cooking and food was just part and parcel of my earliest memories and I wouldn't change it for the world.
Following this I was a support worker for 13 people with learning disabilities helping them to lead independent lives with minimum support, support ranged from teaching them to cook or learn about money to complete complex care.
Most of the people had challenging behaviours so I was trained for this for several years and in safeguarding, medication etc.
I was promoted from within so stepped into a care/management role where I would liase with external agencies ie social workers, court of protections, NHS etc as well as managing a team of 13.
Outside of work I'm a massive true crime fan and live reading/listening to podcasts nothing too exciting I'm afraid!
Do you have a driving license and access to a vehicle?: Yes, I have a driving license & access to a car
Vaccine: 2 vaccines
Availability: Monday- Friday preferable short hours, flexible for some weekends with notice due to childcare
