Private Care in St Austell - Clair
St Austell
I have worked within the care sector for several years. I began as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities, working my way up towards assistant manager and then service manager.
I have been a senior healthcare assistant in a residential home for people living with dementia, a healthcare assistant working on the mental health wards in Bodmin and Redruth hospitals, and most recently have been working as a personal care assistant for a little boy with complex health needs.
I also have extensive experience with caring for members of my own family with varying degrees of health needs.
I am very passionate about providing a great standard of care and support, and have a good understanding of Safeguarding, Health and Safety, CQC and other governing bodies requirements and regulations.
I enjoy spending time with the people that I care for, getting to know them and meeting their needs in a way that they would like, that also helps to empower them to retain as much of their independence as possible.
I am friendly, polite and reliable, and maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
I have been praised by previous managers as hardworking, knowledgeable, reliable and trustworthy.
Friends comment on my ability to listen and be non judgemental.
People I have cared for have noted that I am friendly, fun, kind and caring.
I enjoy reading, watching movies, spending time with friends and family, socialising, swimming and going for walks. I enjoy caring for others, am very empathetic and am a very good listener.
